I’m liking my 3G
As is becoming my pattern, I got the phone on Saturday, the day after the launch. I went for white, and bought a case just because I need a case until the kind of case I want comes out and I can buy THAT case. Know what I’m talking about?
The ATT store had maybe 25, but I was number eight in line by virtue of getting there at 7AM for a supposed 8AM opening. Which turned out to be 9AM. At least, it was supposed to be 9, but the computers “weren’t online” so we waited a bit longer. Then they started admitting people, FOUR AT A TIME. When I finally got in the nice guy who helped my began by warning “This is going to take a while.” Start to finish it was maybe thirty minutes, which included about five of the guy trying to reinsert the SIM card into my original iPhone, a task he never accomplished, leaving me with an unusable original phone that was suppposed to be going home to my wife. His advice: take it to the Apple Store. But I fixed it myself after about two hours of cogitation and modification of various sheets of plastic. That’s the kind of guy I am.
Anyway, I’m liking the phone. And, why shouldn’t I, it’s essentially the same as the first… especially since I DON’T GET 3G IN MY HOUSE!
